The Cityscape Egypt summit will be held in the New Administrative Capital for the first time

Cityscape Egypt is the country's largest property industry event, where developers present their projects and the authorities set out their plans for urban development. In 2026 it runs in two stages and at two separate venues.

The business half, the summit, takes place on 7 September at the St. Regis hotel in the New Administrative Capital. More than 20 speakers are announced: representatives of the relevant ministries, heads of development companies and investors. The event is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities. The partner is the state-owned Administrative Capital for Urban Development, and the main sponsor is the developer Midar.

The exhibition follows later and stays at its usual venue: from 30 September to 3 October at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. The organisers expect more than 80 developers and over 1,000 projects.

The summit agenda covers partnership between the state and private business, the effect of economic conditions on the housing market, the development of smart and sustainable cities, and the prospects of the New Administrative Capital as an investment destination.

The business half has been placed outside Cairo for the first time, which says something about the standing of the city itself. A few years ago the new capital was a building site 45 kilometres from Cairo. Today parliament sits there, ministries have relocated and more than 30,000 people live in it.

For a foreign buyer the exhibition at the end of September is a reason to plan a trip. More than a thousand projects on one site make it possible to compare payment plans from different developers in a couple of days rather than spending weeks travelling between compounds.
